He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Kia Cosgriff (Lein); and his siblings, Maxine Nottingham and Bob Cosgriff. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his brother Frank Cosgriff (Judy); and his children, Elvera Cosgriff, Robert Cosgriff (Helen), George Cosgriff (Daveen) and John Cosgriff. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
