In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy LaVina leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though LaVina may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Nelson and Daisy Nelson (Winget); her husband James Kanuit; and her son Daniel Lee Kanuit (Vernor Bachman). She is survived by: her sister Janice Spech; her son Randall Kanuit (Sherry Ann); her grandson Tyson Kanuit; and her stepgrandchildren, Michele Cargill (Jim), Jason North (Beth), Christine Oviatt and Eric North (Pam). She is also survived by great-great grandchildren, plus nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Billings Cremation and Burial Services (29 8th St W, Billings, MT 59101). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
