He was predeceased by: his cousins, Terry and Alex Shiota. He is survived by: his pet Addie; his parents, Erik Thorpe and Eileen Thorpe of Rochester, Minnesota; his siblings, Erin Venti (Brendan) of San Diego, California and Evan Thorpe (Karina Swanson) of Kasson, Minnesota; and his aunts and uncles, Odin Thorpe (Connie) of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Michael Murphy (Jane) of Englewood, Kathleen Shiota (Yoshinobu) of Owings Mills, Maryland and Jennifer Frankenfield (Fred) of Sterling. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Bozeman Health Foundation, a program very dear and important to Ethan.
