He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Edwin Brandvold and Irene Brandvold; his former life partner Ruth Cantlon; his spouse Marion Trexler of Bynum; his daughter Mary Jo Brandvold; his sister Elvina "Beanie" Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his children, Laurie Trexler (Dave) of Bynum, John "Butch" Brandvold Jr. (Cindy) of Dutton and Jim Brandvold of Belgrade; and his stepsons, Clifford Trexler (Jane) of Hamilton and David Trexler (Laurie) of Bynum. He was also cherished by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
