He was predeceased by : his parents, Morris McDowell and Rose McDowell; and his brother Jerry McDowell. He is survived by : his former life partner Mary Anita Callahan (Deddens); his children, Richard E. McDowell (Conni) of Great Falls, Jo Ann L. McDowell, JoAnn McDowell of Choteau and Victoria "Vic" McDowell of Great Falls; and his grandchildren, Hunter McDowell (Noelle Walters) of Great Falls and Tesla McDowell of Great Falls.
