He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Orlo Stansberry and Gertrude Stansberry (Rowland); his friend Stanley Wixom; his wife Mary Stansberry; his children, Carrie Smelser (Kirk) of Fort Shaw and Bret Stansberry (Shelly) of Carmen, ID; his grandchildren, Brieanna Smelser, Avery, Kelsey and Mariah Stansberry; and his pet Boots.
