He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Gena Bumgarner and Clarence Bumgarner; his siblings, Barbara, Eleanor, Russell and Shirley; his wife Melinda; his sons, Aaron and Jordan; his grandchildren, Zachary, Skye, Amy, Sam Leritz, Marc and Melinda; his great grandchildren, Rachel, Wes Hocevar (Kamden), Emily, Evan Derks (Kelby), Karl and Wendy; and also, Casey, April Schenk (Nathan), Kelley Schenk, Ryan Lenz (Wendell), Jennifer, Ron Shaneybrook, Josh, Andrea, James, Lori, Hattie, Hans, Holter and Haris. He was also cherished by children, 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

He was instrumental in the foundation of Belt Community Church, and served in every capacity he was needed in.
