He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thompson and Vivian Thompson; and his siblings, Anita, Norman, Lincoln and Katie.
He is survived by: his wife Katie; his children, Johnny (Jay), Jay Thompson (Vicki) and Maria Eshelman (Jeff); his niece Cindy Simenson (Chuck); his grandchildren, Jacob Eshelman (Dana), Sianna Rose (Nathan), Jasper Eshelman (Jessie), Jeffrey Eshelman (Laura), Ryan Thompson, Johnniann Thompson and Rayna Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Maggie Eshelman, Seth Rose, Levi Rose and Ellie Rose. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
