She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert J. McElvain and Alice McElvain (Jones); her husband Sam; her siblings, Robert J. "Bud" McElvain Jr. and Sharon Robinson; her son Terry Lee Mercer; and her great grandchild Emily Martin.

She is survived by : her sister Maxine O'Brien (Kenneth) of Kalispell; her son Gary R Mercer (Barb) of Shelby; her granddaughter Colleen Mercer; and her great grandchild Daytona Martin. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Memorials may be sent to Hinsdale ambulance service, Hinsdale Methodist Church, or the charity of your choice.
