He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Kjelstrup and Hazel Kjelstrup; his former wife Betty Jo Opp; his sister Dorothy Billingsley; his brother-in-law Charles Billingsley; his brother Gerald Kjelstrup; his siblings-in-law, Elaine Kjelstrup and George Avina; and his great-niece Brenna Sunby.
He is survived by: his sister Marlene Avina; his children, Randon Freund (Dan), Edis Kjelstrup and Kenneth Alan Kjelstrup (Joyce); his grandchildren, Tana Loring (Scott), Larry Hawthorne (Kimberly), Tory Kjelstrup (Lisa) and Terri Neiskens (Mike); his great grandchildren, Dustin Peres (Ashley), Katelin Conway (Nolan), Jace Loring, Faith Kjelstrup, Ty Kjelstrup, Dylan Neiskens, Ashley Muesing and John Ryan Muesing; and his great great grandchildren, Addison Conway, Deni Conway, Finley Peres and Rhett Peres. He is also survived by the many nieces, nephews and cousins.
