He was predeceased by : his parents, George Safty and Cora Safty (Goulet); his siblings, Marcella June Safty, Carol Harris and Delmer Safty; and his grandson Spencer Safty.
He is survived by : his wife Geraldine; his children, June Odegard (Irvin) of Whitetail, MT, Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, Rod Safty (Roger Deromedi) of Burleson, TX, David Safty (Stefanie) of Stanton, NE, Linda Unsworth (Dennis) of Bisbee, AZ, Mike Safty (Adaire) of Thousand Oaks, CA, Janet MacDonald (Alan) of Absarokee, MT and Peggy Hansen (Steve) of Glasgow, MT; his sisters, Mary Tymofichuk and Deborah Crossland; his grandchildren, Angela, Aaron (Sunny), Adam Odegard (Andrea), Callie Safty, Jessica (Boyd Harrington), Daniel, Kelsea (Thomas Vander Velde), Faith, Gabriel Safty, Jeffrey (Bridget), Ian, Curtis Anderson, Jay (Amy), Lauren Unsworth, Ryan (Sarah), Jordan Safty, Heather, Sarah, Kasey Mutz and Brady (Robyn); his stepgrandchildren, Hana Paladichuk, Whitney MacDonald (Andrew Beith), Marina (Patrick Burke), Madison, Andrea and Salomon Hansen; and his great grandchildren, Ave, Ila, Axl Odegard, Tyler, Trevor Vredenburgh, Ryland, Oliver Harrington and Olive. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
