He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Flynn and Rose Flynn; and his brothers, Joel and Steven. He is survived by: his wife Jill; his daughters, Shannon (Lynn Reynolds) and Siobhan; his siblings, Kevin (Nora), Gary (Theresa), Bryan (Emulyn), Loralee Wilkey (Dave) and Teresa Artz (Dan); and his sisters-in-law, Peggy Flynn and Sharon Flynn.

In lieu of flowers, he would love for you to make a donation to a local charity of your choice that you believe will help educate, support, and uplift those in your own community or to a charity related to land stewardship.

“Dear Jill, Shannon and Siobahn ~ So very saddened to read of Kelly's passing. I was a guest on your ranch way back in 2001. It was a wonderful trip. I remember a conversation I had one morning with Kelly, we were going to move the irrigation pipe for the cattle, and I said "look at all those rocks out there, I don't remember seeing them yesterday" and he replied, "those aren't rocks, they're elk". I said, "how do you know?" and he said, "I've lived here forever, I know the landscape." Ha!”
