He was predeceased by: his parents, Inez Townsend and Earl Townsend of Trident, Montana.; and his siblings, Carl "Pat" Townsend, Gail Wilson and Richard Townsend.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Townsend; his daughters, Rena Solano (Nick) and Becky Townsend; his grandchildren, Victoria Gail, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Matthew and Caroline Solano; his brothers, Max Townsend and Gene Townsend (Pat); his aunt Blanche Almendinger; and his uncle Lewis May. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
