He was predeceased by: his father Vernon; his wife Phyllis Brekke; his brother LaVerne Heilig; his granddaughter Kenley Faith Heilig; and his grandson-in-law Tyler Faulkinberry.
He is survived by: his children, Kenneth (Janet) of Whitehall, Kathy Hankinson (Tim) of Anaconda, Kim of Havre and Kent (Rachael) of Turner; his grandchildren, Jasmine Johnson of Great Falls, Dalton Heilig (Jordan) of Overland Park, KS, Colter Heilig (Caitlin) of Shoreline, WA, Tracer Heilig of Bozeman, Ethan Heilig of Turner and Savannah Heilig of Turner; his great grandchildren, Cooper Johnson of Great Falls and Kate Heilig of Overland Park; and his siblings, Gary Heilig (Helen) of Moore, Richard Heilig of Sarasota, FL, Tana Truscott (Tom) of Clarkston, WA, David Heilig of Long Beach, CA, Amy Hutton (Dan) of Turner and Laurie Blackmarr of Lake Stevens, WA. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
