He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Michels and Verona Michels (Fox); and his brothers, Russ Michels and Dean Michels. He is survived by: his wife Irene Michels of New Haven; and his children, Ron Michels (Dorothy) of Whitehall, Tom Michels of Bloomington, Connie Henninger (Alan) of Payson, Dave Michels (Marie) of Clive, Mary Low (Mark) of Osage, John Michels (Ann) of Osage, Joe Michels (Gale) of Cedar Falls and Mark Michels of Rochester. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
