He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Ray, Sr. and Vernie Montgomery Johnson; his wife Eula Grey Shutt Johnson; his granddaughter Tammy Templeton; and his brothers, Frank and Hoover Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughter Rita Curley (Jesse); his grandson Scott Curley (Angie); his great grandchildren, Brittany Griffin (Tyler), Stephanie Sanfilippo (Michael) and Jacob Curley; his great great grandchildren, Asher Griffin and Levi Sanfilippo; and his grandson-in-law Tony Templeton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church 429 S Broad St, Winston Salem, NC 27101.
