She was predeceased by : her grandson Shannon; her siblings, Clarence Allen, Edna Long, Ellen Sain and Elizabeth Teague; and her nephews, Steve Teague and Frankie Allen.

She is survived by : her son George Michael Smith (Kathy); her grandchildren, Shanda Sechrest (Jonathan), Shane Hartness and Blake Smith (Shirlena); and her great grandchildren, Cameron of Skylar, M. J., Jaxon, Lana, Lillie and Layla.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be considered for Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
