She was predeceased by : her sister Geraldine Blowe Bryant. She is survived by : her husband Carroll Young; her daughters, Lisa Young Outlaw (Scott) of Ahoskie, Becky Young Cale (Doug) of Winterville and Donna Young Pittman (Doughtie) of Manteo; her grandchildren, Brian Outlaw (Victoria) of Ahoskie, Blake Outlaw (Abbigail) of Greenville, Jason Cale (Morgan) of Fuquay Varina, Brent Doughtie (Brittney) of Manteo, Kathryn Paige Outlaw of Ahoskie and Lauren Cale of Grimesland; and her great grandchildren, Peyton, Waylon Outlaw, Avery, Emerson, Harper Cale, Reagan and Parker Doughtie.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service (205 NC-42, Ahoskie, NC 27910). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 2:45 PM and at 3:00 PM.
