She was predeceased by: her parent Van Bennett "Ben". She is survived by: her parent Bert Griffin Dixon; her daughters, Dana C. Jones of Raleigh and Lia C. Long of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Parker Jones (Amy) of Charlotte, Cameron Jones of Raleigh, Zeb Long of Raleigh and Allie Long of Wilmington; her great grandchildren, Ella Jones of Charlotte and Parks Jones of Charlotte; her sister Jean Kennedy of Sebring, FL; her sisters-in-law, Florine Dixon of Burlington and Martha Lou Puckett (Melvin) of Reno, NV; her siblings, Violet Wilson, Mildred Dixon, Mary Strickland, Rose Ella Allred, Pat Qualls, James M. "Jim" and Paul Dixon; and her friend Bobby Roark. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
