He was predeceased by: his parents, William Horace and Macie Morgan Bowers. He is survived by: his wife Nadine Barbee Bowers; his sons, Stanley Bowers (Donna) and Dean Bowers (Mindi); his grandchildren, Graham Bowers, Preston Bowers and Madeline Bowers; his sister Sonja Crews of Atlanta, GA.; his sister-in-law Judy Lowder (Steve) of Monroe, NC; and his sibling's children, Paula White (David) of Lawrenceville, GA., Sharon Brangers (Kevin) of Roswell, GA. and Jonathan Lowder (Laurie) of Monroe, NC. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to either the Salem United Methodist Church Building Fund or to the Stanly Community College Foundation.
