He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivey Whitlock of Albemarle and Lula Whitlock of Albemarle; his daughter Connie Whitlock Hickman; and his son-in-law Charles "Charlie" Hickman III. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Whitlock; his daughters, Traci Whitlock and Ashlee Taylor (David); his grandchildren, Charles "Corey" Hickman IV (Ashley) and Carson Barrie Taylor; his great grandchild Kierstin Dianne Hickman; and his brothers, Jerry Whitlock (Judy) and Randy Whitlock (Lynne). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family has requested that the service be private and in lieu of flowers are requesting donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
