He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Ciscaro Lanier and Flora Anita Huneycutt Lanier. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Laverne Burris Lanier; his sons, Leslie Ray Lanier (Steven Ray Lanier) of Norwood, NC and Derek Lanier (Amanda Lynn Vanderburg); and his great grandchildren, Kayden Vanderburg, Kamya Vanderburg, Lexi Lanier, Chance Lanier and Adaley Lanier.
