He is survived by: his sons, Demario B. Owens and Ja'Angelo Sr.; his grandchildren, Sekani B. Owens of Mt. Gilead and Ja'Angelo Owens Jr. of Mt. Gilead; his siblings, Tessia Z. Kendall, Rachel Renee Williams, Veda K. Jackson (Willis), Lolita Wiley and Frazier Goode; his nephews, Terrell Williams (Natasha) and Travis Williams; his great-nephew Sean Parker; his aunts, Teresa Miller (Sam) and Ellen Travick; his uncle Leon Barger (Phyllis); his niece Miracle Stokes; and his close friend Patty Rorie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives.
