He is survived by: his wife Karen Ebaugh Ash; his children, Tommy Ash of Rutherfordton and Tina Krug of Virginia; his nephew Michael Ash; and his brother Homer Ash of Maryland. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
