He was predeceased by: his parent Barney Bowers. He is survived by: his brother Buck; his parent Naralee Poplin Bowers; his wife Elvene; his children, Rick Bowers (Kelly) of Albemarle, Jeff Bowers (Aimee) of New London and Angela Talotta (Frank) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his brother Ted Bowers of New London. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
