He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Daniel Whitley and Julia Greene Whitley. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Lynn Furr Whitley of Albemarle; his sons, Christopher David Whitley (Chastidy) of Albemarle and Jason E. Whitley (Linda) of Albemarle; his grandchildren, Taylor Morris (Corey), Austin Whitley, Morgan Whitley and Kendal Whitley; his great grandchildren, Zane, Zander and Langston Morris; his sisters, Diane Burleson (Caz) and Marsha Martin (Sid) of Mint Hill; and his brother-in-law Eric Furr (Cindy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
