He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Burleson and Letha Mae Burleson (Treece); and his siblings, Roby Burleson (Pete), Olin Burleson, Kenneth Burleson, Blye Lowder, Madge Huneycutt and Maxine Carter.
He is survived by: his spouse Oleamer Mae Hatley; his children, Cathy B. Frick (Lowell) of Richfield, Luanne B. Williams (Scott) of Albemarle and Kim H. Burleson (Angie) of Albemarle; his grandchildren, Matt Burleson of Albemarle and Dayli Williams of Albemarle; his stepgranddaughters, Erin Jameson (Matt) of Matthews and Katie Stone (Jeff) of Dandridge, Tenn.; and also Amber Campbell of Troy. He is also survived by seven step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Grove Methodist Church at 28766 N.C. 24/27 Hwy., Albemarle, NC 28001, where he was a lifelong member.
