Dorla Long McLaurin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorla Long McLaurin (Albemarle, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 5, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia Agnes Mills Long and James Henry Long; her husband Frank McLaurin; and her siblings, James Long, William "Bill" Long, Clarence "Chuck" Long and Sybil Louise Long.
She is survived by: her children, Frank J. McLaurin (Mae) of Charlotte, NC, Nancy Goodman of Salisbury, NC and Julie McLaurin of Hillsborough, NC.; her granddaughters, Amanda Lippard (Kevin Wilson) of Greensboro, NC, Abigail McLaurin (Tyler Kress) of Gastonia, NC, Hannah Hall (Bobby Hall) and Charlotte Talbott (Andrew Blythe) of Fuquay-Varina, NC.; her great grandchild Finn McLaurin-Kress; and her pets, Brody and Bella.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Albemarle (1835 Badin Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chandler's Grove United Methodist Church (2535 Badin Lake Rd, New London, NC 28127).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ladies Fellowship of Chandler's Grove U.M.C., 2535 Blaine Road, New London, NC 28127, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care Cabarrus (Tucker Hospice House 5003 Hospice Ln, Kannapolis, NC 28081).
