It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Christian (Albemarle, North Carolina), born in Cheraw, South Carolina, who passed away on June 17, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Smith and Willie Belle Short Smith; her spouse Thomas Christian Sr.; her son Elbert Christian Sr.; and her siblings, Willie Mae Harris, Geraldine Turner, Juanita Conward and Walter Smith II.
She is survived by: her sons, Thomas Christian Jr. (Sharon) and Elder Douglas Christian (Katrina); her daughter-in-law Deborah Christian; and her sisters, Helen Pankey and Walillian Tyson. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
