With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellis Lawson III of Albemarle, North Carolina, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 11, 2024 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Geraldine Jones Lawson and Ellis Lawson, Jr.. He is survived by : his wife Gloria J. Scruggs Lawson; his children, Cherell Orr, Sharia Turner and Ellis Lawson IV; and his siblings, Kathy Rice, Leslie Lawson, Vernon Lawson and Terrance Lawson. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025).
