He was predeceased by: his parents, Hector, Sr. and Savannah Buie McLean; his daughter Erica Sellers; his siblings, Geneva Gaibreath, Queen Ella Hopes, Willia Mae Lipscomb, Ollie Mae Cooley, Maggie Pankey, John Archie McLean, Ernest McLean, James McLean, William McLean and Hector McLean, Jr.; and his spouse Reverend Martha Lilly McLean.
He is survived by: his grandchild Excell; his daughters, Carolyn Griffin (Claude), Badin, Bertina Scott (Arthur), Albemarle and Donna McLean; and his grandchildren, Shatika, Aaliyah Scott and Albemarle. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
