It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Yow of Albemarle, North Carolina, born in Oakboro, North Carolina, who passed away on June 18, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Monroe Hartsell and Nellie Smith Hartsell; her husband J. D. Yow; and her sisters, Ramelle Efird and Ruby Teen Crisco.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Edwin of Albemarle and Barry Yow of Albemarle; her sisters, Mary Jane Furr of Albemarle and Joyce H. Little of Oakboro; her grandchildren, Yvonne Edwin and Matt Edwin (Jessica); and her great grandchild Kasey Edwin.
