She was predeceased by: her parent Matthew Barbee; and her husband John Calvin Hatley. She is survived by: her parent Annie Herlocker Barbee; her children, John Hatley (Melanie) of Salisbury and Rita H. Wood of Albemarle; and her siblings, Jimmy Barbee of Albemarle, Edna Gibson and Boots Lambert. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
