He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Nixon Veatch and Glenna Lewis Veatch. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Mills Veatch; his children, Dr. Philip D. Veatch MD (Nancy) of Albemarle and Vickie Lynn Veatch of Albemarle; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Allen (Jeremy), Karen Stone (Patrick), Jeremy Veatch (Christina), Michael Veatch and Emily Shockley (Bryce). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
