She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred L. Ballard and Mae Rose Russell Ballard of Albemarle; her son Amos Russell Forte; and her father-in-law Richard "Dick" Forte. She is survived by: her significant other Russell Forte; her sister Amy Brinson (Ed); her mother-in-law Doris Forte; and her pet Rosey. She is also survived by cousins, a niece and nephew, and great-nephews and a great-niece.
