He is survived by: his wife Verda Cavender; his children, Daniel Cavender (Lori) of Kannapolis, NC, Patti Brigman of Huntersville, NC and Angela Cavender of Oakboro, NC; his siblings, Clyde Cavender (Pat) of Lisbon Falls, ME, Peggy Hinkle (Dennis) of Maryville, TN and Clara Jenkins (Leroy) of Edenton, NC; and his granddaughter Amanda Brigman of Charlotte, NC..
