She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Armstead Farmer and Fronnie Mae Presley Farmer; her husband Bruce Ethan Burris; her stepson Richard Burris; and her siblings, Horace, Walter Farmer and Gladys Frye.
She is survived by: her children, Bryan Burris (Reba) of Richfield and Norma Kay Mitchell of Richfield; her stepsons, Aaron Burris of Albemarle, Gary Burris of New London and Nelson Burris of Waxhaw; and her grandchildren, Mark Butler, Keyoka Blake, Chad Little and Shelly Patterson. She is also survived by six step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
