He was predeceased by: his parent Kelcie E. Whitley; his wife Mable Mann Whitley; and his daughter Debbie Whitley Riggsby (Larry). He is survived by: his parent Osie Cline Whitley; his children, David E. Whitley (Ellen) of Albemarle, NC and Jo Ann Whitley Roberts (Ron); and his sister Sandy Whitley Phillips (Nick) of Elverson, PA.. He is also survived by nine siblings; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Albemarle Baptist Church Building Fund, 336 Church St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
