Covington; his children, Lynn Anthony Covington Jr. (Tanika McDaniels), LaToya Owens (Eric Campbell), LaCoya McKay Sr. (Melvin), Charlotte, Minnie Covington (Quincey Washington) and Georgia; his grandchildren, Kahlil Covington, Nylah of Washington, Kaylah of Washington, Kiylah of Washington, Laylah of Washington, Melvin McKay Jr. and Kaden Barbee; his siblings, Minnie Broadway, Gail Owens (Jeremiah), Wanda Turner, Michael Covington (Tonya) of Albemarle and Jerry Covington of Albemarle; his siblings-in-law, Eunice Covington, Vanessa Covington and Mickey Owens; his siblings' children, LeKeya Covington, Chandra Harrison (Mark), Kenian Covington (Randi), Glashay Covington and Ashley Davis; and his close friend Chris Edwards. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives.
