She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Almond and Irene Ribelin Almond; and her husband Windsor Lee "Bill" Shepherd. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Shepherd of New London, Judy Ann Shepherd of Ellerbe and Shirley Shepherd Barringer of Albemarle; her son-in-law Warren Barringer; and her siblings, C. W. Almond of Oxford, NC, Ewell Ray Almond of New London, Kathryn Keener of New London and Jewell Fay Faggart of New London. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
