He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bloom and Clarabelle Sanford Quirin; and his brother Donald "Don" Bloom. He is survived by: his wife Patsy Clowney Bloom; and his children, Charlie Bloom (Suzi) of Claypool, IN, Angela Sharpe (Aaron) of China Grove, Michael "Chick" Bloom, Jr. (Danielle) of Kannapolis, Everett "Donnie" Cruse (Jim) of Martinsburg, WV, Cory Cruse (Melinda) of Climax, NC, Dr. Johni Cruse Craig (Marvin) of Lithonia, GA and Crystal Cruse of Kannapolis. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
