He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Cicero Brooks and Rubye Lois Morton Brooks; and his sister Madalyn Brooks Yates. He is survived by: his siblings, Joe Brooks II (Susie) of Willow Park, TX and Kathy Brooks of Jacksonville, FL; and his siblings' children, Todd Michael Callahan of Fuquay Varina, NC, Joe C. Brooks III of Statesville, NC and Christy Brooks Jarvis of Willow Park, TX.
