Burris of Stanly County; his wife Linda; his stepdaughters, Julia Garrett (Andy) of Simpsonville, SC and Marian Miller (Amber) of Burlington, VT.; his stepgrandchildren, Brandon Stokes, Austin Stokes and Katie Stokes Martin; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Raleigh and Hunter.
