He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Aupus Thompson and Mary Lucy Huneycutt Thompson; and his siblings, Carl Thompson and Joyce Thompson Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Gaynelle Thompson of Albemarle; his brother Walter Thomas Thompson of Albemarle; and his children, Penny Efrid (Charlie), Susan Beachum (Ricky), Tommy Thompson and Donny Thompson. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
