He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Nathan Cranford and Ethel Early Cranford; his son Kelly Joe Cranford; and his granddaughter Samantha Drago. He is survived by: his wife Miriam Wilhoit Cranford; his children, Robert E. Cranford, Jr. of Albemarle and Michelle Cranford Drago; his grandchildren, Makayla Thompson (Timothy Carter), Cecilia Drago and Ronald Drago; and his great grandchildren, Emmerlyn Carter and Wesley Carter.
