She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Baxter Howard, Sr. and Ida Barbee Howard; and her siblings, Annie Jeanette Howard Little and Lonnie Baxter Howard, Jr.. She is survived by: her nephew Dr. J. F. Howard (Kari); and her great-nephews, John Howard, Jr. of Winston Salem, Graham Howard of Winston Salem, Philip Howard of Winston Salem and Josiah Howard of Winston Salem.
