He is survived by: his son Thomas Lipe, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Anne Lipe of Damascus, MD; his siblings, Herman Lipe of Richfield and Aileen Myers of Lexington; his sister-in-law Mary Matze Setzer of Mooresville; and also, Millingport and Allison Nance of Albemarle. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and -nephews, and a universe of friends.
