He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Elmer Sifford and Lou Belle Robinson Sifford; his half-sister Louise Sifford Sims; and his son Nathan. He is survived by: his children, Sha and Bryan; his wife Mary Ann; his son Clay Youker; and his daughter-in-law Greta Crump Sifford.

The family hopes to have a celebration of life after the pandemic has passed.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to Crossnore School and Children's Home/Archives, 1001 Reynolda Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
