He was predeceased by: his parent Roy A.; and his siblings, David Gibson and Mildred Allison. He is survived by: his parent Eva Eller Gibson; his spouse Reba Orr Gibson; his daughter Melinda Waldroup (Mitch) of Andrews; his sisters, Martha Vaught of Macon and Mary Stiles of Sylva; his grandchildren, Trevor Waldroup (Emily) of Andrews and Nicole Gibson (Brett) of Andrews; and his great grandchildren, Addie Waldroup, Jackson Waldroup, Lily Gibson and Lincoln Gibson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Virgil G. Gibson to the Gideons International, PO Box 164, Murphy, NC 28906.
