He was predeceased by : his father Samuel Ray Blalock Sr.; and his grandparents, Ralph, Inez Blalock, Henry and Beatrice Bowling.
He is survived by : his mother Faye Bowling B. Holloman; his wife Lela Kirk Blalock; his siblings, Kim Price (Tim) of Willow Spring, Heather Barefoot (Kevin) of Benson, Shane Williams of Fuquay-Varina and Christopher Blalock of Florida; his aunt Brenda Nicely (Chuck) of Willow Spring; and his sister-in-law Tracey Newberg (Jim) of Garner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
